Ingredients
- 6 large Garlic cloves – peeled
- 1 tbsp Black Cumin (Nyjer) Seeds – lightly roasted
- 1/2 cup Skinless Peanuts – lightly roasted
- 2 tbsp Sesame Seeds – lightly roasted
- 1/4 Cup Freshly grated coconut – lightly roasted
- 1 Tablespoon hot Red Chili Powder (add 1/2 tablespoon more for extra hot)
- 1 teaspoon Salt (Or according to your taste)
Method
- Roast separately: Black Cumin Seeds (Nyjer seeds), Sesame Seeds, Peanuts, and Grated Coconut.
- Add Black Cumin Seeds (Nyjer seeds) to the skillet and lightly roast them for five minutes or till they start to sputter.
- Seeds will release a unique aroma, which is a good indication that the seeds are roasted.
- In the same skillet, roast separately Sesame seeds, Peanuts, and Grated Coconut; each of them for two minutes and set them aside.
- In an electric blender, first grind roasted Black Cumin Seeds (Nyjer seeds).
- Add sesame seeds to the blender and give a few more stirs.
- Then add peanuts and blend for 15 seconds.
- Add garlic cloves and blend for 15 seconds.
- Now add salt, red chilli powder, and grated coconut.
- Blend this mixture to a coarse texture.
